Summer is here!!

The saying goes "April showers bring May Flowers" but I think Mother Nature messed up and brought the showers to May this year. It was rainy and slightly chilly a good portion of the month, so I was worried we'd have a late start to summer. No joke, on June 1st, the weather took a 180 and now we're in 80-90+ degree weather every day! I guess Mother Nature knows what she's doing after all... And I'm glad for all the rain because now everything is so green and gorgeous! Yay for summer!

We have passes to our local little water park that Ellie has already loved, and my parents have a big backyard with a big tree, lots of shade and lots of room to play with water toys. We may not have a beach anymore, but I'm loving being back in Utah for summer again. We spent some time at my parents house yesterday and I took some pictures of these two best friends playing in the water.

Random Pictures & Life

First off for the most fun announcement: We are having another baby! It's a boy due September 17th. I'm 25 weeks along and we are anxious for this little man to join our crew! He is already SUPER active (even more than Ellie was, which is saying a whole lot) so I know we're in for another wild child. I wouldn't have it any other way! We love him so so much already. Ellie seems excited but I'm pretty sure this little one is going to rock her world. It's gonna be crazy!

I'm also pregnant with two of my sisters (another sister had a baby 6 months ago) so we're going to have another gang of cousins the same age. It's so exciting and I can't wait to see what they're all like!

I've been pretty sick this pregnancy, so I've been MIA from blogging. Now that I'm feeling a bit better, I've been able to take more pictures and I get to enjoy blogging a little bit more again! Here's an update on our life:

We've been living in Utah for about 6 months now! Time has flown by. We live in a great apartment (twice the size and half the rent as our place in Boston hahaha) close to our family. I've spent the past 6 months taking care of my cute niece, who is just a month older than Ellie, during the week while Eric began working for Target pharmacy like he always has everywhere we've lived. He finished his first semester back and just landed a better job working for a healthcare company south of Salt Lake. It's been more difficult than I thought it would be living here, because I miss our friends so much. But everything has been working out great and we know this was the right move for our family!

We were able to take what I like to call a babymooniversary (celebrating baby and our 3rd anniversary) a little over a month ago. Eric's parents had a wedding to attend in Utah so we dropped Ellie off with them and they took her home to California for a few days. We took a road trip down stopping in St. George to stay with a dear friend of mine. Then we drove in Vegas and soaked up as much as we could being married, LDS and me being pregnant haha We had a blast for one night and bounced out to Venice beach and Santa Monica California where we stayed for a few days. We had a hotel room right on the beach, it was amazing. After that we went down to Orange County to see our girl and spend a couple more days with Eric's family before heading back to Utah. It was all so much fun!

I made the decision to put a hold on my photography business while I focus on my growing babies. I've enjoyed running my own business and getting to know so many amazing families, but I know that I will do better personally as a mother and individual if I focus on my kids for now. This does mean that I will be taking more pictures of my kids and enjoying some more creativity behind the lens again! Ellie is already sick of the extra camera time haha

That was a long one. Thanks for reading I'll be posting more again soon!
