And Baby Payne is.....

Well, I guess that second time's a charm!! We were able to have one more ultra sound today! First, we were able to look at little hands, feets, legs, and arms. The baby was twirling around and I was SO nervous that they wouldn't cooperate for us again. But then these beautiful words came out of our ultra stenographer's mouth... "I knew the second you walked in here that you'd be having a girl!" I just smiled from ear to ear!!! Eric and my mom did mini victory dances and we spent some more time taking a look at her twirl around and be adorable. We are SO in love with our baby girl already and can't wait to meet her!! I'll post some pictures from the ultra sound soon!!!

We were planning on doing cake pops to reveal the baby's gender to my family and I'd make pink or blue cake for the middle. Since it didn't work out yesterday and we had our ultra sound later in the day today, I knew there wouldn't be enough time for that. We already had some pre made naked white cake pops that we used for practice so we just thought we could dip them in pink candy chocolate and then another layer of white. Same concept! Well... Today was nearly 100 degrees and very humid- especially for Utah. We managed to get a sloppy layer of pink on but no matter how hard we tried, it would not hold onto another layer of white because it was melting within seconds of being out of the fridge. We made the decision to just throw some pink sprinkles on to cover up the melty job underneath, put them in the fridge and make everyone close their eyes so we could come out and reveal that way. It worked out well and everyone is SO excited to have another baby girl in the family!

Team PINK! There were more on this team, but not everyone could come haha

Team BLUE!

Everyone waiting...

And here was our announcement for our online friends!

We have a name picked out, but we're going to wait until she's here to reveal that :)

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement! I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father is trusting Eric and me to raise one of his precious daughters. We feel lucky to be her parents already. Being a mother is going to be the greatest job in the world, and I feel more than blessed to have this opportunity.

My heart is full. :)

Wallace Family Camping Trip

We spent the first week of July free of electronics, showers and air conditioning. Every year my family goes on a big camping trip and I'm so glad that Eric and I were able to go! There's 6 kids in my family, and we've all found our significant others. We have two nephews and two more kids on the way with me and my sister. Almost everyone was able to make it along, plus some friends and their kids.

We spent our days lounging around, fishing, skipping rocks, making food over the fire, playing cards, making walking sticks, and laughing around the campfire. It was either really hot or REALLY rainy. Every night was spent with beads of water slamming our tents, and we had to protect everything from getting wet. BUT we had so much fun and I took LOTS of pictures! Except my 15 week pregnancy picture... But I did manage to snap my 16 week shot!

My favorite nature shot of the weekend.

We had the Fourth of July during our trip, so we still had to show our country pride :)

Family walking stick. P for Payne!

My brother Mark and his wife Angie. I caught a cute moment here :)

I was supposed to find out the gender of the baby today, but the baby just was not cooperating!! He/She was all bunched up with the umbilical chord inbetween the little legs.. No good!! But tomorrow we're trying again and I have a good feeling about it! Then I'll be able to post all my pictures from the gender reveal party that we'll have! For now, here's 16 weeks! I've grown A LOT in the past 2 weeks! And on Thursday I'll already be 17 weeks along! This pregnancy is flying right by :)

Eric turned into a photographer and asked me to pose for him. Oviously, by the end I wasn't taking posing very seriously haha

Hopefully more posts to come really soon about Baby Payne!!

Back Into the Swing of Things!

It has been a crazy month for the Payne family! We went to California for a few days and got all of our things moved in!! Once we're down there for good and all unpacked and organized, I'll take pictures of our cute place :) We were pretty busy the whole time unpacking and getting stuff ready, so we could only make it to the beach once for a few minutes... but let me tell you. It filled up my entire soul haha I can't wait to have that healing power near me every day! I swear, the ocean is the best medicine for both me and Eric. I'm extremely excited/nervous to move there :) The flight home was pretty bad.. I got really sick vowed to never fly again when I was pregnant hahaha We have also decided to stay in Utah until about the 10th of August because my sister is getting married earlier than we thought and we don't want to make a million trips back and forth!

We are currently living in my old high school bedroom in my parents house (which is pretty funny for me haha) until we move so we don't have to pay rent :) It's been fun to be surrounded by my family at all times (A lot of people live in the house and people are over ALL the time). It will be a big change once we move because it will be just Eric, me and his parents.. I'll have to pick up some more hobbies!

This has been one of the HOTTEST summers of my life! It's been hitting 100 degrees every day! The only way to beat it is by going to the pool! My sister lives in a community that has one so we go pretty much every day.

Just a small portion of my fun family on a swim day :)

Check out that bellay!!

Never a dull moment living with this goofball of a nephew that I have :)

So for the first pregnancy T-Shirt I made, Eric pointed out that there was no number 20 on there... Whoops! I just skipped the week we were in California (week 12) and just decided to make another for the next week. I made another and messed up the numbers on that too!! We had to wait for me to buy another shirt... haha Then we finally did, I made it, messed up a little but covered it up and now I'm finally back on track with week 14 (and a half)!! I'm officially in my second trimester!! I have an occasional sick day but I'm usually pretty nauseated at night time. This killer heat is sucking out my energy and I get pretty dizzy... But I'm growing!! Every day my stomach is getting harder and bigger. I'm definitely feeling flutters in there as well! We get to find out what we're having in 2 WEEKS!! I have a sister who's about a month ahead of me and she just found out that she's having a girl! I have no clue.. haha We can't wait!! July 16th can't come any sooner :)

14 weeks!!
