Well, I guess that second time's a charm!! We were able to have one more ultra sound today! First, we were able to look at little hands, feets, legs, and arms. The baby was twirling around and I was SO nervous that they wouldn't cooperate for us again. But then these beautiful words came out of our ultra stenographer's mouth... "I knew the second you walked in here that you'd be having a girl!" I just smiled from ear to ear!!! Eric and my mom did mini victory dances and we spent some more time taking a look at her twirl around and be adorable. We are SO in love with our baby girl already and can't wait to meet her!! I'll post some pictures from the ultra sound soon!!!
We were planning on doing cake pops to reveal the baby's gender to my family and I'd make pink or blue cake for the middle. Since it didn't work out yesterday and we had our ultra sound later in the day today, I knew there wouldn't be enough time for that. We already had some pre made naked white cake pops that we used for practice so we just thought we could dip them in pink candy chocolate and then another layer of white. Same concept! Well... Today was nearly 100 degrees and very humid- especially for Utah. We managed to get a sloppy layer of pink on but no matter how hard we tried, it would not hold onto another layer of white because it was melting within seconds of being out of the fridge. We made the decision to just throw some pink sprinkles on to cover up the melty job underneath, put them in the fridge and make everyone close their eyes so we could come out and reveal that way. It worked out well and everyone is SO excited to have another baby girl in the family!

And here was our announcement for our online friends!
We have a name picked out, but we're going to wait until she's here to reveal that :)
I am overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement! I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father is trusting Eric and me to raise one of his precious daughters. We feel lucky to be her parents already. Being a mother is going to be the greatest job in the world, and I feel more than blessed to have this opportunity.
My heart is full. :) |
